The storefront is the public area seen by customers: home page, catalogue, product page, cart, shipping, checkout and customer account.
Home Page
In START you can configure:
- main slider: slides, images, headings, copy, links, autoplay and interval;
- hero banner: image, heading, text and buttons;
- category grid: category or product-type tiles;
- product sliders: featured products, limits, product types and
featuredflag; - content: native SYLS page content;
- reviews summary: customer reviews and average rating;
- manufacturers: manufacturer or brand logos;
- latest posts: blog entries;
- footer: description, contact details, opening hours, social links and legal data.
Catalogue
The catalogue groups products into categories and subcategories. For every important category, fill in the name, description, image, meta title and meta description.
Product Page
Important product fields:
enabled- whether the product can be sold;sku- base SKU;priceandcompare_at_price- price and crossed-out price;tax_class- tax rate;stockandlow_stock_threshold- stock level and low-stock threshold;product_type,primary_category,categories- product classification;manufacturer_code- manufacturer or brand;tags,badge,featured,excerpt- presentation fields;variants- product variants, for example colour, size or material;addon_groups- add-on groups attached to the main product;google_merchant- basic product feed data.
Variants And Add-Ons
Variants are used to sell versions of one product. Each variant can have its own SKU, price, stock and visibility.
Add-ons allow customers to buy the main product together with additional products. An add-on group can be:
checkbox- the customer may choose many add-ons;radio- the customer chooses one add-on;- optional or required;
- with a fixed quantity or a quantity edited by the customer.
In the cart, add-ons depend on the main product. The customer should not change them independently, and removing the main product also removes its add-ons.
Cart, Shipping And Checkout
In the shipping step, the seller can use methods configured in the panel: courier, pickup, cash on delivery, free shipping from a threshold and country limits.
Checkout collects contact data, invoice data, address, shipping method, payment method, formal consents and customer note.
Store Customer Account
A store customer can register, sign in, reset a password, complete a profile and view order history.
Typical routes:
/account;/account/login;/account/register;/account/profile;/account/forgot-password;/account/reset-password;/account/order;/account/review.
Store Panel
The store panel works under /admin and uses SYLS Admin styling. In START, the
seller usually works with dashboard, products, orders, customers, reviews,
settings, team and demo data.
Products In The Panel
The product grid is used for quick filtering and bulk changes:
- page visibility;
- sales activity;
- inventory;
- low-stock threshold;
- variants;
- prices and basic catalogue data.
Full product editing is done on the product page.
Orders
An order contains:
- ID and status;
- payment status;
- fulfilment status;
- payment method;
- shipping method;
- customer data;
- billing address;
- shipping address;
- order items;
- notes;
- documents;
- event history.
Customers And Reviews
Customers are synchronized from orders and customer accounts. Reviews can be moderated before publication and linked to product, variant, SKU and order.
Settings, Team And Demo
In settings, the seller manages store configuration without touching technical files:
- company data, contact data, currency and price format;
- appearance, logo, favicon, footer and custom CSS;
- payments;
- shipping;
- SEO and sitemap;
- safe performance settings;
- manufacturers, product types and home page;
- cookies and legal content.
Team members should use separate accounts. Every person should receive only the permissions they need.
Demo data adds sample products, categories, graphics, posts, reviews and home page sections. Clearing demo does not remove accounts, payment secrets, Mail settings, company data, real orders or private store configuration.
